PROJECT MANAGEMENT

From designing luxury sustainable hotels, spas or restaurants, to technical consulting with developers or operators on how to assist their design team for maximum results, Laura R. Oatman, Architects, Inc. is a small but multi-faceted company located in Newport Beach, California, that provides our clients with all of the experience, but none of the overhead.

DESIGN: We specialize in architectural design for the hospitality industry, with emphasis on boutique wellness-focused green hotels, spas, and restaurants that desire a unique combination of both high-end luxury and sustainable green design. Having spent most of our career working with WATG Architects, Laura Oatman has been trained by arguably the best hospitality architecture firm in the world. We offer the same high-quality architectural design of a much larger firm, but for a fraction of the cost. Working independently, or in association with strategic partners, we bring to the table only what the specific project needs, when it is needed, with a well-organized precision that allows for much lower overall design fees.

MANAGEMENT: We provide project management services for hospitality owners and developers. From years working as a project director for Los Angeles-based hotel developer Brad Korzen of The Kor Group, and managing projects designed by his wife, well-known designer Kelly Wearstler, we have learned how to work with the owner on the development side, managing design teams, budgets and schedules while maintaining the highest degree of design integrity.

CONSULTING: Laura Oatman provides consulting services to hospitality operators and managers, including the Kor Hotel Group, from project-specific technical services consulting, to much broader general consulting services such as developing brands or company design standards. We are now able to provide LEED consulting services, from general education to complete project administration for LEED certification for your building projects. We have worked on two green hotels to date, one on the Portuguese island of Madeira, and one in Snowmass, Colorado, both currently under construction and set to open in 2009.
